Product Manager – Client-Facing (US Fintech)
About the role
Hitch is hiring a client-facing Product Manager in Latin America to own day-to-day relationships with US mortgage lenders and turn their needs into shipped product. Remote, contractor role, working US EST business hours.
Hitch is a white-label specialty lending platform for Non-QM mortgage products: HELOC, DSCR, home equity investments, and AI underwriting tools. Our platform integrates natively with ICE Encompass and powers origination for national lenders.
You will be the person our clients trust. You will run their calls all in english, often with 20+ stakeholders on a call live, understand their operations, push back when a request doesn't fit the product, and work with our engineers and QA team to deliver. You'll start on one client account, then take over as lead on one of our largest lender relationships.
What you'll do
- Lead recurring calls with client executives, operations and compliance teams, entirely in English
- Translate client requests into clear, testable tickets in Linear, including QA testing steps
- Decide with clients what goes into each release, and say no (politely) to requests that break our one-product model
- Work daily with our engineering team in Brazil and QA team in the Philippines to get work shipped
- Build and ship product changes yourself with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, with engineers reviewing. At Hitch, this is a core part of the PM job, not a side skill
- Own escalations: diagnose what went wrong, communicate it to the client, and drive the fix
- Learn the mortgage workflow end to end: point of sale, loan origination, verification and pricing
What we're looking for
We want builders. You like making things, and you have good taste: you notice when a screen, a flow or a spec feels wrong, and you fix it. You're deeply curious. You ask a lot of questions, of clients, engineers and us, until you really understand the problem. And you pair that curiosity with discipline: you're very organized, you follow up, and nothing falls through the cracks.
Must have
- Fluent spoken and written English (C1 or above). You'll be tested on a live call. This is a must, you will be speaking english all day with clients and need to be fluent.
- 3+ years as a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar client-facing product role
- Direct experience working with US clients or at a US company: you've run the meetings, not just attended them
- Hands-on, regular use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor or similar). You can build a working web app from a description, and you'll prove it in the interview
- Confidence with demanding stakeholders, including senior executives
- Strong writing: you can turn a vague email into a precise spec someone else can build and test
- Comfort with technical topics: APIs, integrations, data flows. You don't need to be an engineer, but you can follow one
- Availability during US business hours (Eastern)
Nice to have
- Fintech, lending or mortgage experience
- Experience with Linear or Jira, and basic SQL
- Experience at a nearshore consultancy serving US clients
Logistics and hiring process
- Location: remote, anywhere in Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and others)
- Engagement: full-time contractor through Deel
- Hours: overlap with US business hours required
- Compensation: open question, add range before posting (USD, monthly)
Our process takes about two to three weeks:
- Intro call (30 min, in English): your background and a walkthrough of a client situation you handled
- Build exercise (take-home, about 3 hours): using AI coding tools, build a basic working version of a home equity lending platform like Hitch: a borrower application (property, income, loan amount), a simple eligibility and pricing result, and a loan officer view of submitted applications. It doesn't need to be pretty or production-ready, but it needs to run
- Build walkthrough (45 min): demo your app, explain your choices, then add a feature we request live while we watch
- Ticket and client role-play (45 min): turn a messy client email into a Linear-ready ticket with QA steps, then handle a frustrated client escalating a delay, played by our team
- Final call with the CEO
- To apply, send your CV and a short note in English about the most difficult client conversation you've led.
