Salesforce Solution Architect — Certinia/PSA Experience Preferred

Location: Remote — Brazil

Engagement: Independent contractor (PJ)

Contract duration: 6 months, with possibility of renewal

Schedule: 40 hours per week, aligned with U.S. Eastern Time business hours

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to assess, optimize, and enhance an existing Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) environment built on Salesforce.

Hands-on Certinia experience is highly preferred, but not required. We also welcome Salesforce architects with strong experience in complex, highly customized environments and a solid understanding of Professional Services Automation (PSA) or professional services business processes.

This role combines architectural ownership with hands-on delivery. You will assess the current environment, identify improvement opportunities, develop practical recommendations, and support implementation alongside technical and business stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Assess the existing environment, including its architecture, configuration, customizations, and integrations.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, maintainability, and readiness for future releases.
• Evaluate the environment against Salesforce and applicable Certinia best practices.
• Develop and help execute a prioritized optimization and remediation roadmap.
• Provide architectural guidance and contribute directly to configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Support improvements across PSA workflows, time tracking, multi-currency configuration, release management, and platform performance.
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on Salesforce experience, including solution architecture and implementation.
• Experience assessing and improving complex or highly customized Salesforce environments.
• Experience with PSA solutions or professional services processes, such as project delivery, resource management, time tracking, or project financials.
• Strong understanding of platform configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and release management.
• Ability to turn assessment findings into clear recommendations and actionable implementation plans.
• Ability to balance architectural guidance with hands-on execution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional English proficiency for collaboration with U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week aligned with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Highly preferred

• Hands-on experience with Certinia (FinancialForce), particularly Certinia PSA.
• Experience implementing, architecting, redesigning, or optimizing Certinia solutions.
• Experience conducting Certinia health checks or architecture assessments.

Additional advantages

• Experience developing and executing remediation or modernization roadmaps.
• Experience with multi-currency environments, complex time tracking, Certinia Accounting, or Salesforce CPQ.
• Consulting experience supporting platform optimization and transformation initiatives.
