Sobre a vaga
Role Overview:
We are seeking trained musicians with solid theoretical grounding and real production experience to support the development and benchmarking of audio-capable Large Language Models (LLMs). You will produce fine-grained, musician-to-musician descriptions of musical audio, covering form, harmony, rhythm, arrangement, and production, and validate AI outputs against what is actually audible. Your expertise will directly shape how well models understand and describe music.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in music (composition or music theory focus preferred), or at least 1 years of work experience in music production (mixing and/or composing).
- Ability to listen critically enough to hear quiet, brief, overlapping, and changing details and separate individual parts within an arrangement.
- Ability to describe music clearly in everyday and technical language, including relative loudness and timing of changes.
- Strong focus and consistency of judgment across long batches..
Task Overview:
- Listen closely to music clips and write clear, concise, evidence-based descriptions at a high level of musical detail, without unsupported assumptions.
- Identify musical form and section function by ear, including song sections and neutral forms.
- Identify instrumentation, playing technique, and arrangement roles (groove, bass line, pad, lead, counter-melody, fills) and note when instruments and vocals enter and exit.
- Analyze harmony to the level the audio supports: chord progressions, chord names, pedal points, cadences, key changes, and modulations.
- Describe the harmonic and melodic role of individual instruments (for example, a violin carrying the main motif with rapid staccato notes).
- Analyze rhythm and groove: meter or feel, drum patterns, syncopation, half-time and double-time relationships, tempo changes, and the tempo a listener would naturally tap.
- Describe melody, hooks, contour, repetition, call and response, vocal style, dynamics, texture, builds, drops, crescendos, layering, and density changes.
- Recognize production techniques such as reverb, delay, distortion, filtering, sidechain effects, stereo image, and lo-fi or polished treatment.
- Describe transitions (fills, risers, stops, cuts, fades, hard edits, starts, endings, and movement into the next section).
- Check machine-generated drafts critically and correct missing, invented, mistimed, or inaccurate musical content.
- Apply consistent judgment across each clip and batch.
