What You’ll Own

• Close Leadership: Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including the calendar, task ownership, and on-time delivery.
• Review & US GAAP Reporting: Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements before they reach US leadership, applying US GAAP consistently.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee the general ledger, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and cash reconciliation.
• Team Management: Manage and coach accountants, set priorities, and keep delivery on track against close deadlines.
• Controls & Audit: Maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls, and coordinate audits and tax requests with external firms.
• Reporting & Partnership: Give US finance leaders and department heads clear reporting and variance explanations.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years of accounting experience, including close leadership or formal review responsibility.
• Team leadership: Experience managing, mentoring, or reviewing the work of accountants.
• Accounting standards: Practical experience with US GAAP close and reporting, or strong CPC/IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities. This can be in-house, at a multinational, or through a shared services center, outsourced accounting firm, or public accounting firm.
• Technical depth: Strong command of accruals, reconciliations, financial statement review, and audit support.
• Good English communication: Confidence working directly with US finance teams and senior stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, SAP, TOTVS, or similar accounting ERPs.
• Multi-entity, intercompany, or consolidation experience.
• CRC registration, US CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience working with US startups, growing businesses, or international teams.
