Full-Time Opportunity: We are hiring Audio Annotators – Music for a short-term AI project across the following locations.

Role: Audio Annotator – Music

Experience: 3+ years of direct practice in music, OR a Bachelor's degree in Music / at least 1 year of professional music production experience.

Mode: Remote

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria:

Technical & Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music (Composition or Music Theory preferred), OR at least 1 year of professional experience in music production, including mixing and/or composing.
Strong understanding of music theory, composition, harmony, rhythm, and arrangement.
Ability to critically listen to music and identify subtle, overlapping, and changing musical elements.
Ability to describe music clearly using both everyday and technical musical terminology.
Strong attention to detail and consistency when evaluating musical audio.
Ability to identify instruments, playing techniques, vocal styles, musical structures, and production techniques.
Strong analytical skills to identify inaccuracies, missing details, and unsupported assumptions in AI-generated descriptions.

Availability:

Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week.
Must be available for at least 4 hours of overlap with PST working hours.
Willingness to commit to the full 6-week contract.
Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency while working on large batches of audio annotation tasks.
Candidates must have their own laptop/desktop with a stable internet connection to perform the project tasks.

What You'll Work On:

Listen closely to music clips and create detailed, accurate, and evidence-based musical descriptions.
Identify musical structures, including verses, choruses, bridges, introductions, outros, and other musical sections.
Recognize instruments, playing techniques, arrangement roles, and the entry and exit of different musical elements.
Analyze harmony, including chord progressions, chord names, cadences, pedal points, key changes, and modulations.
Describe rhythm, groove, meter, drum patterns, syncopation, tempo changes, and musical timing.
Identify melodies, hooks, repetition, call-and-response patterns, vocal styles, and melodic variations.
Analyze dynamics, texture, layering, builds, drops, crescendos, and changes in musical density.
Recognize production techniques such as reverb, delay, distortion, filtering, stereo imaging, and other audio effects.
Describe musical transitions, including fills, risers, stops, cuts, fades, and endings.
Review AI-generated musical descriptions and correct missing, inaccurate, invented, or mistimed information.
Maintain consistent annotation quality and accuracy across assigned audio clips and batches.
